Engineering Technologies
The Automotive Production concentration will support the emergence of the automotive industry with the arrival of Volkswagen and related suppliers to the greater Chattanooga economic region. According to the United States Department of Labor, employment of industrial machinery technicians and maintenance workers is expected to grow 7 percent from 2006 to 2016. Volkswagen and associated parts providers are expected to employ between 2,000-7,000 new employees over the next three years.
