CHEM 1310 - Integrated Chemistry

This course is an integrated approach to basic principles of chemistry. Integration will be between lab and lecture activities as well as between this and other areas of science. Major topics of study include physical and chemical properties of matter, atomic structure, kinetic-molecular theory and phase changes, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, types of properties of chemical reactions, water and aqueous solution chemistry, acid-base chemistry and pH, nomeclature and formula writing, naming and structure recognition of simple covalent, simple organic and biological molecules.
