MN 201 - Intro to Automotive Electrical/Electronic Systems(3) An overview of automotive electrical systems including topics in operational theory, testing, diagnosis, charging and starting systems, and electrical accessories. Emphasis on electrical schematic diagrams and service manuals. Electrical operating principles, construction, and maintenance of various components will be applied in this class. Introduction to on-vehicle testing procedures and inspection of electrical components will be performed by students. There will be discussion and testing of on-board computers included. May be taught manufacturer specific. class 2 hours, lab 3 hours. Prereq(s): MN 114 [F]
