RADT 2280 - Radiographic Practicum 5

This course is a continuation of Radiographis Practicum 5 and is designed for students to participate in radiographic examinations under approved supervision in the clinical setting.  Experience in a variety of procedures will assist students in applying theory and developing specified levels of competence.  Students will demonstrate terminal use of radiographic equipment, along with the display of professional level skills in positioning, patient care, interpersonal communications, image analysis, and radiation safety practices.  Advanced knowledge of critical thinking and problem-solving skills for non-routine situations will be exhibited.  Competence at this final level will be evaluated and documented for a selected category of exams.  Assignments in specialty imaging procedures and modalities are included.  Terminal ARRT exam competency required for program completion.  Contact hours per week:16.
