Students who complete all courses listed on a Tennessee Transfer Pathway will earn a Chattanooga State A.A. degree and are guaranteed that all the courses will count toward that university major. Tennessee Transfer Pathways’ prescribed curriculum must be followed exactly to ensure all credit hours transfer. Particular universities or programs may have additional requirements. Admission into a university does not guarantee admission into a college within the university or an academic program. Chattanooga State encourages students to consult with their four-year institution early in their academic program.

If you choose a major at a university without a Tennessee Transfer Pathway agreement, it will be especially important to see your advisor or success coach so that your plans can be made early.

There’s no doubt about it-the business field impacts everyone. Every business, from small mom-and-pop shops to billion-dollar tycoons, contributes to the economy’s shifting, taxes paid, and even the milk price on the supermarket shelf. As a manager, your job is not to get work done through people-it is to develop people through work. Management courses not only teach you how to manage or start a business; they also teach you a number of other skills along the way.

You will learn how to communicate effectively with others, how to negotiate, and how to prioritize and lead the work of others. These skills can be used in almost every area of your life.

The Associate of Science (A.S.) degree at Chattanooga State prepares you for transfer to a university through the Tennessee Transfer Pathway (TTP). TTPs enable you to complete your degree at Chattanooga State and then transfer to any Tennessee public university and several Tennessee private universities as a junior to complete your bachelor’s degree.
