Note(s)
If you are planning to transfer to UTC in Engineering, you should major in the AAS, Applied Science General Engineering concentration at Chattanooga State. The Applied Science General Engineering concentration allows students to complete the first two years of their engineering curriculum and transfer as a junior to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in pursuit of a discipline-specific engineering degree.
1Students transferring to UTK or UTC should take ECON 2100: Macroeconomics and ECON 2200: Microeconomics. Students transferring to UTM should take ECON 2100: Macroeconomics.
2Students transferring to LMU should take a Geology (GEOL) elective and not PHYS 2120.
3UTK, TSU, UoM, and LMU do not require Math 2010 Linear Algebra but do require a 3 hour course in Probability/Statistics. Students transferring to TTU should take Math 2010 Linear Algebra.
NOTE: Students are strongly encouraged to complete a course in Mechanics of Materials, also known as Strength of Materials or Solid Mechanics, before transferring to a university.
