Civil engineering technicians help make the wonders of the modern world possible such as highways, bridges, transit systems, airports, water systems and other structures. They assist in such activities as the design of structural steel and reinforced concrete, monitoring construction, surveying and mapping, and assisting in the design of hydraulics structures.
