Advanced GMAW/FCAW and Visual Inspection

This certificate covers intermediate and advanced techniques of gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and flux core arc welding (FCAW), visual inspection of as-deposited welds, and welding project management.  Students obtain certification preparation for various American Welding Society (AWS), American Petroleum Institute (API), and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) specifications and certifications. Specialty welding, such as advanced process GMAW, restricted position, and dual shielded FCAW will also be covered. After completing this program, students will be ready for a job as a specialist to work with GMAW/FCAW on metals that range from heavy plate and pipe to thin-gauge sheet metals.
