GATP 1310 - Design Principles(3 Credit Hours)
Introduction to the basic visual elements and principles of 2-dimensional design; unity, variety, hierarchy, dominance, proportion, balance, scale, emphasis, rhythm, movement, proximity, repetition, shape, space, line, size, color, texture and typography. The student will be introduced to problem identification, analysis, brainstorming, and idea refinement as they relate to the above principles and elements. Contact hours: 6.
