LPN and Paramedic to RN Transition Programs
The LPN and Paramedic to RN Transition Programs offer accelerated curriculum tracks for the licensed practical nurse and licensed Paramedic to pursue the Associate of Applied Science Degree in nursing and RN licensure. The associate degree curriculum is adapted to recognize the knowledge and skills of the LPN and Paramedic. LPNs and Paramedics accepted into the Transition Programs must successfully complete either NS 024 (LPN’s) or NS 027 (Paramedics) during the summer semester in order to receive credit for the first two semesters in the nursing curriculum. The paramedic transition course and the option to transition into the night nursing program are only available in the summer of the even numbered years. Following completion of a transition course students then complete the remaining clinical nursing courses in the program of study.
