07:02:01 Non-Credit Adjunct Faculty Compensation

 

 

  1. The purpose of this policy is to provide information about the calculation of non-credit adjunct faculty salaries.

 

  1. Rate of Compensation
    1. The rate of compensation for non-credit adjunct faculty is based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, compliance with TBR Guideline B-060. Factors include:
      1. Qualifications or expertise required
      2. Availability of qualified adjunct faculty
      3. External market course fee rates
      4. External market compensation
      5. Hours of instruction
      6. Customization of instruction as appropriate
      7. Number of instructional meetings.
    2. For regular and routine offerings, the salary is based on the non-credit program fee assessed and may be expressed as a “per contact hour”.The salary may be negotiated between the adjunct faculty and one of the Division’s managers and approved by the Vice President for Economic and Workforce Development.

 

  1. TBR Mandated Guidelines

1. In all cases, revenues generated for the fiscal year must meet or exceed TBR Guideline B-060 (125% of instructional salaries).
