Initial Employment Probationary Period
06:84:00 Initial Employment Probationary Period

 

  1. Newly appointed non-faculty employees or those whose positions are reclassified to a higher classification will serve a six-month probationary period from the date of hire or reclassification. During the probationary period, the employee may be terminated at any time without prior notice and does not have access to the College’s grievance procedures except regarding AA/EEO discrimination complaints.
  2. Prior to the completion of the six-month probationary period, the supervisor will complete a formal written evaluation and submit an Initial Probationary Employment Form recommending a change from probationary to continuing status, extension of the probationary status, or termination. Following any probationary period, the employee continues to serve at the will of the President.
