Technical Certificate

The Instructor Trainee class is a presentation of concepts of instruction in the cosmetology, aesthetic and manicurist disciplines. The class covers all theory and practical skills needed to take the Tennessee state Board of Cosmetology licensing exam. The class requires 300 hours of instruction that includes both classroom and laboratory teach experience. This 300 hours course is a presentation of concepts of instruction in cosmetology. Topics include history of teaching, educator characteristics, curriculum development-evaluation, and teaching assessments in techniques.

Applicants must have completed 1500 hours of instruction in cosmetology/aesthetics or manicurist and hold a valid Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology license.
