Introduction to methods, theories, and techniques used to analyze and date archaeological cultures, past life ways, and cultural evolution. Emphasis will be placed on the prehistory of the Americas, Africa, southwest Asia, and Western Europe. The scope of human prehistory will be covered from the earliest human cultures to the rise of complex civilizations. [S] Note(s): There are allowances for the student to be below college level in some area of study. Fulfills a General Education requirement. ► “common”  Tennessee’s public Universal Transfer courses.
