  1. Introduction
    1. The College’s website, chattanoogastate.edu, is an official published set of Chattanooga State interconnected webpages managed by the Marketing & Communications Department with technical support provided by the Technology Division.
  2. Website Information Standards
    1. The information referenced throughout the College website must adhere to all college policies and any other governing laws. In addition, it must be directly related to the college’s mission and the information should reflect the high-quality standards for official publications of the college, as determined by the Marketing Brand Book. Approved college logos are available for download on the college website. Images used on the website may need the permission of not only the person or organization that owns the images, but also from any individuals included within the images.
  3. Terms of Use
    1. Use of Chattanooga State web servers for monetary gain is strictly prohibited. Links to for-profit sites with the express purpose of conducting business transactions are likewise prohibited. Additionally, no official Chattanooga State webpage may link to an individual student’s webpage. However, webpages in the Chattanooga State domain may link to other educational or non-profit organizations, pages created or maintained by Chattanooga State faculty or staff, and online materials for research or educational purposes.
    2. The following standards of quality apply to all Chattanooga State Community College web pages:
      1. No obscene pictures or profanity
      2. No links to items of an obscene or profane nature
      3. No illegal use of college resources
      4. No copyrighted materials
      5. Web pages must comply with all the College’s policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws concerning appropriate use of computers and computer networks
      6. College resources cannot be used for commercial gain
      7. College resources cannot be used to advertise non-college related functions
  4. Copyright
    1. Copyright - All Pages, Chattanooga State Community College. All Chattanooga State employees must abide by Chattanooga State’s Copyright Policy 02:10:00.
  5. Oversight
    1. Marketing is responsible for the administration of the Chattanooga State website content and its links. The web services coordinator can provide guidance and should be used as a point of reference with developing new sites or pages. The web services coordinator, reporting to the director of Marketing, will serve as a point of contact and guide on web-related issues.
    2. Any webpages or sections of web pages that contain incorrect or outdated information may be removed from the web until they are corrected. The college web coordinator will attempt to provide reasonable notice of the link or file removal, but reserves the right to act without notice if the situation warrants or if the situation is not corrected within a reasonable amount of time.
  6. Accessibility
