  1. The division of Economic and Community Development is committed to providing resources to Chattanooga and the outlying communities, and to meeting the needs of our community through active partnerships. The division’s mission is to promote economic and community development through ensuring that businesses, schools, and individuals have access to quality education and training.
  2. The division of Economic and Community Development consists of the following departments: the Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development, the Small Business Development Center, Marketing, and all off-campus sites including East, Eastgate, Kimball, Dayton, and Sequatchie-Bledsoe.
  3. The Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development provides customized training and courses to area businesses and industries, and promotes economic development by being responsive to the needs of our community through workforce training and assessments. The center provides a professional testing and credentialing center with a variety of assessment options, and is a designated WorkKeys® Solutions Provider location. Personal interest and other lifelong learning courses are available through this center. As part of the Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development, the Center for Business Success provides a Web-based resource for small and medium sized businesses.
  4. The Small Business Development Center provides business counseling, training, information, and assistance to businesses. It also provides assistance to any potential or existing entrepreneurs.
  5. The Marketing department provides marketing for the entire campus. The off-campus sites, which include East, Eastgate, Kimball, Dayton, and Sequatchie- Bledsoe, exist to serve the educational and training needs of the outlying communities.
